NAMING OUR STRUGGLES

External pressure to "cherish every moment" in motherhood can make it difficult to be truthful (even with ourselves) about our experiences. But we believe that acknowledging and allowing the full spectrum of our feelings and experiences is the first step towards healing and acceptance. We release ideals and instead choose to be with what is, trusting that it all belongs.

SHARING OUR STORIES

When we struggle alone, shame thrives. The way to undo shame narratives is to speak out our stories, and to see acceptance, understanding and love reflected back. We make the brave choice to allow ourselves to be fully seen and in turn to see each other. And by doing so, we find comfort and strength in connection.

MEANING MAKING AND INTEGRATION

When we make space to acknowledge and share our experiences, not only does it diminish shame and loneliness, it also allows us to make meaning of them, to integrate our experiences and new aspects of our identity into our sense of self. Something that only felt like pain at first can become a thread in the rich tapestry of our lives.
